A dialogue from a show!
"If you focus on protecting your heart, you can avoid a lot of pain.
But you can also end up living half a life"
- Hope (Virgin River)
Sometimes in life, we reach a stage when we feel there is no point in moving forward. We just freeze emotionally and physically. We talk about 'Skipping a heartbeat' when we are in love but never realized, it also happens when we get anxious. There's constant pinning in the heart & not peaceful anymore. (metaphorically).
This is a dialogue from a Netflix original show - VIRGIN RIVER.
When we repeat this dialogue, again and again, we tend to find a different meaning every time. Somehow relating it to our incidents in the past. Our brain tries to recall all the moments, the moments that were always stuck in our sub-conscious but were suppressed. We start analyzing where the things should have gone differently and times we should have either stepped up for ourselves or stepped down for once.
We fear pain, not because it hurts emotionally but because of the exponential increase.
This dialogue makes me realize the more I fear and try to go around the moments/feelings, I end up wasting important parts of my life whether it be seconds, minutes, hours, days, or years. But I'm wasting...
Beautiful stuff
