Honestly, I feel drama and thriller fiction is my zone. Sci-fi is not my preference when I am searching for a show to start. The problem that I find is, I don't like the non-real concepts and logics theme of the show. I have watched some movies but they never come to my top favorite movies. Also, I'm more of a TV show guy, I like step by step story building. Episodes can be bad and good but a single episode will never justify how the show is, that's the best thing.

 This show is for those people who love (in the past and present tense) watching different wildlife shows on Discovery Channel and Nat Geo. The title of the show explains - what theme it is gonna be based on. The concept "The defiant pupil", I don't know if it is real or not. I gave it a shot because I like wildlife documentaries. I think the animals were real throughout the show or maybe not, I don't know. The VFX work was that good. The theme is brilliant and very unique. Season 1 and 2 are genius-ly presented by the director and performed by the actors. The story is smooth, compelling, reasonable and all the other things you need to make the call - if it is recommendable or not.

 Then there comes season 3, causing the death of the show. The show should have been given a happy or suspense ending that would have been great for the show and its viewers, but maybe the writer(s)/producers/director(s) decide deliberately to make the season 3 campy, the storyline fell from 8 or 9 to 5/10. The story was illogically extended and even the season 3 finale was a cliffhanger. Sadly the show is canceled and the end of the show is just lost.

 I am a fan of season 1 and 2, so I do recommend watching the show. You wouldn't have imagined a show like this. Also, I'm waiting to watch how it will end, if the show gets renewed for the last time.

 The show can be watched on Netflix, 3 seasons and 39 episodes in total.
It has an IMDb rating of 6.8/10 and 82% on Rotten Tomatoes.
